Annelise Demers is a rising senior at The Prout School. She is a dedicated honors student and full IB Diploma candidate.

Annelise loves to read, volunteer in her community, and watch documentaries in her free time. In school she is Student Body President, a lawyer on the schools Mock Trial Team, founded the Justice, Equity, Discovery, and Inclusion Club, and a member of many other clubs. Annelise is also treasurer of the Rhode Island Historical Society Teen Advisory Board and Miss Warwick Teen USA 2022.

Annelise is thrilled to be participating in the International Business & Development Internship. She hopes to be able to make a true impact on the business leaders she meets and help them grow their business. Annelise hopes to one day pursue a career that mixes both her passion for business and global affairs.

Meredith Wanta is rising junior at The Prout School. Meredith is a hardworking honor student who is enrolled in the full IB Diploma Program and has done independent study in AP courses.

Meredith enjoys running and surfing. Meredith is a member of the Mock Trial team, the Math team, and head of Cookie Club to raise funds for food banks. She also takes part in theatre productions and improv club. In her junior year, Meredith will be executive corresponding secretary on student council. On the weekends, Meredith works at a local bakery and volunteers at a hospital to help her community.

Meredith is excited to be participating in the International Business and Development Internship because she has an interest in business and international locations. Meredith plans to study internationally and join the medical field so that she can make advances to better the lives of others.

Gianna Lamendola is going to be a junior this coming fall at The Prout School. Gianna is a diligent student who is a possible candidate for the IB diploma, and National Honors Society.

Gianna enjoys singing, drama, and the arts. At school Gianna participates in many afterschool clubs such as Acapella and Improv Club. During her free time Gianna enjoys writing/listening to music, and drawing.

Gianna is thrilled to be taking part in the 2022-2023 Leadership Initiatives this year. She loves being able to do anything to help people in need and hopes to influence the people around her by her example. She hopes that the thing she learns from this program will help her make headway in her future career path.

Waela Van Nostrand is a rising junior at The Prout School. Waela has taken all honors classes in her freshman and sophomore years. She is now enrolled in the full IB Program.

Waela participates in the varsity cross country team and varsity swim team for the school. She also swims competitively for a club swim team She has been elected Treasurer in Class Student Council for freshman, sophomore, and junior year. She volunteers on the weekends at the local hospital.

Waela is excited to be participating in the International & Development Internship this school year. It is not directly aligned with her interests in medicine but believes that the skills she learns will help her in any career path she chooses.
