Our Business Partner

Sa'idu Garba

Business Statistics

This year, Hannah and Claire are excited to return to the International Internship Program as continuing Business and Development interns, although this time, they will be working with four other tenacious teammates: Neal, Charan, Jeremy, and Serena. Throughout the year, they are looking forward to building upon previous experiences and innovating a better future for their Nigerian business partner, Mr. Sai'du Garba, with the help of their Project Coordinator, Ms. Tamar Davou Dinju.

Mr. Sai'du Garba is the owner of an electronic repairs shop who is seeking assistance with reaching his long-term goals of both becoming a large enterprise with multiple branches and gaining increased training on technological repairs to serve more customers. First, in order to expand his business, we are in the process of graphic designing professional logos that clearly and effectively showcase the values and ethos of his company and services. Soon, we will begin creating print advertising materials (per Mr. Garba's preferences) and give him a boost in starting an official marketing campaign. Furthermore, to propel Mr. Garba towards educational opportunities, we will re-evaluate his current financial tracking systems and business model to provide a stable foundation for his business, which will allow him to pursue classes or workshops for him to learn new skills. By the end of our time together, we hope that Mr. Garba will be one step closer to achieving these goals and inciting a renowned legacy within the electronic repairs industry, as well as Bauchi community.

$50 RAISED

$700 NEEDED

$750 GOAL

Sub-Saharan Africa has experienced some of the highest growth rates globally over the past 10 years. While this means that people in these nations have become more optimistic about their social and economic future, the region continues to face a myriad of historical problems. In order to continue steady growth and achieve a future of equitable conditions in the region, our International Internship Program team seeks to build stronger communities from the grassroots level through fundraising for community development.

Funds raised are used to implement community-based education programs, pay staff to run the operations on-site, and invest in training for local leaders. Leadership Initiatives uses fundraised money to develop a network of support for actionable change and accountability between our team, the Leadership Initiatives staff, and the community stakeholders we work with.
